THE PLACE OF ORIGIN
Cannas are tropical plants which grow in northern and southern America, Asia and Africa. Their present forms have been
obtained from Canna indica, Canna glauca etc. In place where winter temperature drop below 32 F cannas are cultivated as
one year plant. Cannas contain short, thick rhizome from which shoot forth foliage growing up to 3-6 feet depending on the
individual variety of Canna. Flowers are big, asymmetric gleaned in ear on the top of thick sprouts.
Cannas bloom all
summer until the first frost. Cannas come from tropical places. They grow well and multiply well in most places on the
world. The biggest farms of Cannas can be found in northern America (Arkansas,California,Oklahoma,Pensylwania) and Asia-
Philippine (on the pictures).
